Our hybrid double bass features a carved spruce top, giving it a well-balanced tone. The fingerboard and tailpiece are made of ebony. The classical brown varnish gives the instrument its invitingly beautiful appearance. Before leaving our workshops each instrument given a comprehensive set-up for good sound and easy playability. The bass comes strung with D'Addario Helicore strings, which underline and support its warm sound. For a small surcharge other strings, for example Thomastik Belcanto or Pirastro Flexocor, are available.
