Set-Up
All our double basses receive a complete set-up before they leave our workshop. This includes the fitting of the bridge and soundpost as well as grading the fingerboard to suit the playing style of the bassist and the type of strings used. The height of the strings is carefully adjusted at the bridge and the nut to ensure easy playability in all positions. The tailpiece is precisely positioned according to the after-lengths of the strings, giving our instruments a maximum of resonance and volume.
