The BassBalsereit Professional is a complete double bass amplification system. It consists of the BassBalsereit Aktiv and a specially designed DI-Box. In addition to the input for the BassBalsereit, the DI-Box also has a separate (asymmetrical) input for other instruments such as guitars, electric basses and pianos and so on. The output on the DI-Box is balanced (symmetrical) XLR.

The DI-Box is simple to use. It features a mute switch and can run on phantom power or two 9-volt batteries. Input and output can be adjusted using the internal trimpots.

The BassBalsereit Professional is ideal for professionals who play on large and small stages and perfect in the recording studio. It runs on phantom power or two 9-volt batteries.

Adjusting the Sound

On all versions of the BassBalsereit the player has full control of his or her sound. Tone and volume can be adjusted by turning the pickup within the hole in the bridge. In general, the sound becomes louder when the pickup is fitted tightly; a looser fit results in a quieter sound. We recommend taking the time to find the sound that best suits your playing style, instrument and amplifier.

Installation of the BassBalsereit

All versions of the BassBalsereit require a conical hole to be drilled into the bridge. As the sound quality depends on the accuracy of the fit, this should only be done by a qualified luthier.
