The Grizzly is the clear favourite of all the Minibasses - over the past few years it has become the most requested of all our "Minibass Bears". The shape of this instrument goes back to a design by Mastri which combines a historical gamba form with that of the modern double bass form.
This Mini-Gamba is for all those who want to start with a traditional bass form on even their smallest double bass. The laminated Grizzly is identical to the fully carved Grizzly in set-up and form, yet considerably cheaper and great value for money. The swinging string length is 69 cm.
The Grizzly Minibass is set up in our workshop and strung with Pyramid strings. For a surchage we are happy to string the bass with Corelli or Pirastro strings - in this case please let us know before making your order:
